Basic eligibility requirements to attend Summer Training
1) Have attended a minimum of 75% of the Corps mandatory training program.
2) Be free of any physical or mental ailment or injury that would prevent you from completing the course.

General Training
Prerequisites : 1) Must have successfully completed Phase 1
2) Hold the rank of Able Seaman
Course Description(2-weeks): During this course you will visit the various departments at the Summer Training Centre and have a chance to try the various types of training. This training will provide cadets an opportunity to identify the specialty area that motivates them to pursue further CSTC training. You will also learn about the CSTC's routine and how to live in the CSTC environment.

Sea Cadet training is divided into a number of distinctive course areas, comprising various levels, 3 Week Basic, 6 Week Intermediate and 6 Week Advanced. Cadets are given an opportunity to choose courses that most interest them. The following is a general overview of the available courses.

Application forms for activities such as international exchanges, tall ship cruises, naval and coast guard deployments are available at your cadet corps and on line. For regular CSTC training Please submit your choices by clicking on the button below.

International Exchanges (CRCO 1932)
This year a series of International Sea Cadet Exchanges will be conducted with countries such as Bermuda, The United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands, the United States, Sweden, Australia and Russia. Exchanges are generally three weeks in duration.

Cadets must be as a minimum a Petty Officer Second Class, 16 years of age and have attended one six-week summer training course.

Coast Guard and Navy Deployments (CRCO 1834)
Annually sea cadets are offered billets on Canadian Coast Guard and Her Majesty’s Canadian Ships for deployments in Canadian and international waters.
Requirements
Cadets must be 16 years of age, (17 for Canadian Coast Guard deployments), highly mature, self reliant and willing to learn and work under minimal supervision. Deployments can last from one week to as long as three months. When on board cadets will become part of the ship's crew and will work the same hours and perform the same duties.

TS Royalist (CRCO)
New this year, this vessel is a UK Sea Cadet training Tall Ship. Selected cadets will have the opportunity to become part of the crew for a two week training experience. .

Staff Positions
Cadets who are 16 as of 1 January of the training year, and who have good leadership skills can apply for staff positions at one of the many Cadet Summer Training Centres across the country. Applications for staff cadet employment are made through the Corps.
